Hello! First post!

I’m editing instruments (creating new ensembles and changing names from Trumpet in Bb to just Trumpet and so on) but when I open a new project, these changes are not saved. What am I doing wrong?

I’m running sibelius 7.0

I'm not at all sure what you are doing. Are you saving the altered files as a manuscript paper? If so, they will appear in the quick start dialog when you restart sibelius. Until you restart Sib you are still seeing the old versions.

A player needs to know what key the part is written in. It's not unusual for a player to read a Bb part on a C instrument. A part labled Trumpet is not helpful.
