In Sibelius 7. I would like to control the staff size per page - and not for the entire file.
I am writing a 4 hands teacher-pupil book - so I need different note sizes for Primo and Secondo... Any way it can be done? Thanx
staff size per page
You can do this if you want all the staves on the same pages. When setting up the instruments in your score, you'll have two pianos, so just make one of them smaller by selecting its 'Piano a' and 'Piano b' entries in the list of instruments and selecting the 'Small Staff' option.
In Engraving Rules you can specify the size of the small staves relative to the main ones, the default is 75%.
There would be some fiddling around to get the appearance you want, of course.
If you want the left page's Secondo small and the right hand page's Primo normal (or vice versa) I fear that it can't be done.

In the latest versions of sibelius, you can alter the size of a staff on a system by system basis. All variations in staff size must take place on a system break (before and after. If you select a passage, sib will insert the necessary breaks around the selection.
1. Make a selection of the bars you want to be smaller
2. Open the inspector ([ctrl][shift]i) and go to Bars.
3. Change the size from Normal to one of the smaller sizes.
