I am a new user of Sibelius and Sibelius is not recognising my midi keyboard (M-Audio Keystation 88).

The list of available devices includes keystation 88 but the list is all greyed out. I am selecting Sibelius Sounds as my playback device (Sibelius Player)
How do I get step-time input from my midi keyboard if the midi input option is greyed out?
Can I have midi Step time input from my midi keybpoard if I am using the sibelius player for playback?

You cannot edit Sibelius' built-in configurations. You need to create a new one and add your keyboard and Sib sounds into it, then save it with a unique name, It will then be available for all your scores.

Be aware that, if you are not using Sibelius Ultimate, some of the more important functions may be missing.

Look in Preferences/Input devices to make sure your keyboard is completely setup. If all you are looking for is note input from your M-Audio, you shouldn't have to worry about much else. Make sure you have the latest drivers for your keyboard, and that you turn it on before you open Sibelius. Double check the manual if you need to.

Bab makes a VERY important point. Sibelius will NOT recognise a device which is started/turned on after Sibelius is running.
