How to repeat specific number of times

This ought to be easy, but I can't find it or figure it out. I understand repeat bars, but how can I notate to repeat a passage say 27 times or 65 times. The point is, I am creating scores that I can use as my "band" while I practice improvisation on guitar, so I want to be able to keep it going for a long time. I know I can just cut and paste the passage over and over, but that seems silly and it makes the score hard to navigate.

Speaking of which, is it possible to set it going forever, and then just stop the playback when I'm ready to stop?

There is now a built-in loop function in the latest version of sibelius Ultimate.

I believe there is a plugin for older versions. Use the plugin installer in sib 7.5 to look for and install it.

I checked the Plug In drop-down menu and saw nothing having to do with loops or repeats.

Can it really be that there's no simple way to do something so simple?

The latest version os Sib ultimate has that facility built in.

Do a google search for sibelius plugins and then look for the plugin name - Play It Again!

Or you could export (as audio) the section you want to repeat. Most media players have a loop or repeat function. Audacity has a loop function. Audacity is a very useful free audio recording, mixing and player program. Exporting frees you from being tied to Sibelius while you are practicing.
