Hi everyone,

For one of my parts I'd like the bar numbers to appear below the bottom of the staff. What's the best way to achieve this without affecting the other parts?

If I go to Engraving Rules and select bar numbers below the staff, it changes the position of the bar numbers in all my parts. How do I adjust it for just one part?

The bar numbers seem to be at different distances to the staves in different parts too...any ideas?

Thanks :)

Why do you want this?

AFAIK, you can't. The only way is by, perhaps, extracting the part from the main file and keeping it that way.

OK, just found a way:

Open the part concerned and go to Text-->Numbering-->Bar numbers and change the setting in the image.

If they are in different positions, it is because you (or magnetic layout) has moved them. They are laregly independent in score and individual parts.

Hello,

I want it because I'm using bar numbers every bar and it looks cleaner for my bass part to have bar numbers below the stave. It's not an uncommon thing to ask...

I have found a way but thanks for your reply.

It's not uncommon, but it IS uncommon to only do it on one part. Usually ALL the parts are done that way.
