changing keys, need to see new signatures

I'm composing a choral anthem, and I want to change keys twice during the song, going up a full step both times: Vss. 1 &2 in C maj, vs. 3 in D maj and vs. 4 in E maj. I also want to display the new key signature each time. Since I have trouble thinking in sharps and flats, I write everything in C, and then change the key as needed. Vss. 1 & 2 I leave as is. Then I select all of vs. 3, go to Note Input, hit Transpose by Interval, go up a Major/Perfect 2nd and it sounds great. However, the notes appear mostly as accidentals and the key signature isn't displayed. Same with verse 4. How do I display a new key signature in the middle of an anthem? Using Mac OS 10.14.6 and Sibelius Ultimate 2019.7.

Thanx,

Tom in Texas

You could add the key sig. at the appropriate bar by pressing K and then choosing your desired key from the list.
Then select bars or the whole score and find the Simplify accidentals plugin and run that.

(Just my suggestion, not sure if it does what you want).

There's a lovely feature that will change the key signature for you when transposing, but it appears to be active only when you're transposing the entire piece at once. The above suggestion to transpose and then manually input the new key signature is probably the best way to go.

(Edit: using the System Selection as Mike said did the trick for me!) :-)

Try a system(purple) selection from verse 3 to the end, transpose it up a tone, then system select from verse 4 to the end and transpose up a tone again. Does than not change the KS for you?

Make sure you tick the appropriate boxes in the dialog.

Example:
Select all of verse 3. Transpose by key (up to D major) OK. While V 3 is still selected, right click to bring up menu to select Key Signatures. Select D major in the window. Verse 3 is now in D major with the proper signature. When you change keys after the fact, it's a two step process.

Ok, I've got it now. Thanks! That was easy!
