Glitch in Text Styles?

Hello,

New member here...I'm trying to get blank page text from my score into my parts. Currently, the part text is gargantuan and runs across all the music.

So, I went to edit text styles (see attached). It says the text is 12 in the score and 12 in the parts (or 6.5 and 6.5).

However, that text is actually showing up in the parts at 20.9, and any attempt to make it smaller in the parts then reduces the size in the score.

What am I missing? Is this a glitch?

Thanks a bunch!

I'm not following what you are trying to do. Post a screenshot of a page from the score.

Sorry--On the score, the text appears at 12 (or 6.5) and is appropriately smaller than the title and other info. In the parts, see attached.

Even though the the text style box (from the first post) says it should be the same size in the part as on the score, it clearly has been blown up.

For reference, the score is on 11x17 and the parts are 8.5x11. I'm thinking maybe that has something to do with it?

Hope that helps.

Try selecting the text item and using [cmd][shift]d

That makes the text smaller, but it also changes it on the score page.

[cmd][shift]d resets the object to its default settings, which are listed under, in this case, text styles.. If you are not getting the results you expect, then there is likely something wrong with your definitions.
