hey everyone,

I have a score with a lot of divisi strings and was wondering if there's a way to show the receiving end of a tie coming from a hidden stave on the previous page? I've tried faking it w the L.V. symbol but it seems a little too short to look like a tie and also when the ties are under a note the LV is an over note looking tie. Any ideas?

thanks,

The usual way to fake a tie like this is to use a non-magnetic slur. It won't play back and there will be some tweaking to do, but you can make it look convincing.

The latest version of ultimate allows you to do this much more easily.

Read that after I'd replied! :)

About time too, I'm sure a lot of people are saying. After umpteen years of faking it, I suppose I've become used to doing it. Still have no pressing reason to upgrade to 2020.1, though the auto-optimising of staves is appealing!

Both of those new features work very well and the tied-to note works even in 3rd/4th etc time bars.
