problem with triplets

I'm using Sib 7.1 for piano music and can't figure out how to have triplets in Voice 1 and have a voice 2 line below it that does not have triplets.

1. if possible, start the voice 2 input before the triplets
2. If not, use the keypad and select whatever note value you need and click on the 2 below the keypad to start voice 2 entry.
