I am creating a modern edition of a historical source and need to indicate the original clefs in a prefatory staff. This is addressed in p.195 of the Sibelius Reference, but there's a problem. I would like there to be very little staff after the original clef, followed by a slight gap. The problem is that the cautionary clefs take up space, even when hidden, which extends the prefatory staff. See the attachment for the best solution I can find. I still feel the prefatory staff is too long, and there's no gap.
Can you turn off cautionary clefs (rather than just hiding them)? This would solve the problem.
