Export audio won't work

I use 7.1.3 on Mac with High Sierra. I have never had trouble exporting audio before. But now suddenly when I choose export audio it shows to be exporting in real time (instead of offline) and when it is finished the exported audio is nowhere to be found. Even though when I first choose the command is specifies that it will be placing the audio in the same folder with the original Sib file. larrygordon
