Does anyone have a slick way to cut and paste from, say, lyric line 2 into lyric line 1?
Basically, I had 3 lines of lyrics, but have deleted line 1, and need to move line 2 to 1, then 3 to 2.

Use the filters. There are built-in filters to select specific text styles:
[ctrl/cmd]a
Home-->Select-->Advanced
Follow the steps in the image then:
Go to the Text tab and change Lyrics line y to Lyric line x (eg 2 to 1, 3 to 2, 4 to 3 - in that order)
Go back to the top for the next line.
This is about as slick as it gets. At least the lyrics are changed throughout the score each time (or selection if you only have a few bars) and in every voice at once.
