Hi,

first I should explain, what is special with the notation for accordion. There is nothing unusual for the right side. But for the left hand accordionists need some help, reading the notes :) :
There are basses, where the name of the note ists given by an upper letter. And there are chords, where the name ist give by lower letters. So two typical bars of Waltz could be:
C c7 c7 | G c7 c7
Sometimes you have to press to buttons at the same time. Then it would be fine to print "C" above of "c7" .

Now I want to solve this task with Sibelius. First I tried chords. But I can not find a way to print chords with lower letters.
So I tried the lyrics. There is no formatting for the chords like the higher "7". And when I omit some notes (because it's always the same chord) I get these long underscores "____". I could not find out, how to disable these lines.

Have you some idea, how to notate correct sheets for accordion?

Thank you very much,
Pete

What if you switch on 'Legacy chord symbols' in File -->Preferences-->Other. That should allow you to type in pretty much anything you want.
