When I input notes and text into a score, the cursor usually drifts to the right and stays there, so I'm always looking at the right hand edge of the score and don't have a nice overview of the progress of work. Is there a way to keep the cursor in the middle of the screen, so that the score moves to the left behind the cursor? Logic Pro calls has a so-called "catch button" that does just this.

That sounds like a system issue, rather than a Sibelius issue. I've never seen it happen (though I gave up on Macs years ago) and I'm therefore not aware of any solution.

You could always ask on the official Sibelius chat pages - plenty of users there and some may have encountered the issue.
