I haven't used Sibelius for several months, and now when I start it up on my desktop computer, it says it's not licensed. I proceed to follow instructions to remove the files from %programdata%\yada yada yada, and when I try to relicense, it says the device count is exceeded.
I also have a laptop so thought, as this is urgent, I'd just deactivate it from there and use the license on the desktop, but when I start it up on the laptop, after answering the "check for update" message, the Sibelius process just sits there consuming over 30% of a modern CPU and does nothing else, no window, just a process, so I'm going to have to uninstall this.
I've managed to find this page (http://www.sibelius.com/helpcenter/contact.html) which lists phone numbers for some countries, but for email help, when you click on the "complete this form" link you get taken to a KB page with no form whatsoever!
I'm absolutely raging in anger now because I've a project that needs to get done today (I simply assumed the software would work like it did before - not unreasonable, eh?) and no way of getting support from Avid.
Are there any Avid staff who are reading this and can reach out to me ASAP?
Steve
Sibelius license invalid - cannot contact support
If you need avid staff, you are on the wrong forum. You need to go to either the Avid forum at https://www.sibelius.com/cgi-bin/helpce ... &groupid=3 or visit the FB page(s) at https://www.facebook.com/groups/sibeliussoftwareforum.
This forum, while there are some dedicated, die hard, users here has been abandoned by the Sib staffers.
You could also, as it's an emergency, contact ingrid.guce@avid.com directly, explaining the situation.
