double barlines and repeats in Ultimate

I'm having trouble with the double bar lines and repeats in Sibelius ultimate. In Sibelius 7, when I added a double bar line it would appear at the beginning of the bar that was selected. In ultimate, it will put a double bar line at the beginning and the end of that measure, which is something I rarely if ever want to do. Same goes for repeats. Is there anyway to fix this?

Yes. Don't select the bar first. Just select a barline and then put in the new barline type.

I checked this because I had not seen this behaviour. In ultimate, if you have more than one bar selected EVERY bar will get a double barline. This is obviously a bug. It probably crept in as a result of Sib's new ability to 'bracket' a section if you choose start or end repeat it will put the correct barline at each end of the selection. Please report this on the official Avid site.

But don't bother reporting it, as it's already been discussed there. If it's a bug that's crept in recently, it's not really a problem, as selecting the barline that you want to change makes more sense and is just as easy!

This behaviour seems to have crept in with the addition of the ability to 'bracket' a selection with start/end repeat barlines.
