Sibelius 7.5 / Windows 10 64bit
I built a few user defined symbols to use them in my sheets. With my first revisions, I noticed the 'Delete' button erases the symbols in the table but not their associated fields - see screenshot:
In the beginning, there were just a few empty fields - annoying, but something you could arrange with. But the more I work on my own symbols, the harder it becomes to ignore the empty fields, and latest when the 'user defined' section will go beyond one screen height it will become impossible to work with user defined symbols properly. So here is my question:
How can I get rid of the empty table fields? Is there a XML file, or a registy entry, or something like that where the symbol presentation is managed? Thanks a lot for any information.
Deleted symbols leave blank fields in symbol table
You can't (and shouldn't) delete any of the built-in symbols. Not for any reason.

OK, so you ought to be able to delete those, but not the spaces in which they are saved. Just re-edit them to create your new symbols.

Thank you, but that does not answer my question. I've already got those nasty empty fields.
I simply wanted to know where the user-defined symbol table, or the symbol table in general, is stored. With that, I could experiment with specific deletion of an entry, or a file, to avoid a complete re-installation of Sibelius.

Then the best place for you to ask is the official Sielius forum at https://www.sibelius.com/cgi-bin/helpce ... &groupid=3
