Hello everyone!

Just upgraded to 2020.12 from 8.6 today, but the same problem is happening in both programs. No matter WHAT I do, be it inputting a note with the computer keyboard, MIDI keyboard, clicking something with the mouse, etc. etc., any time I touch anything, the screen jumps to a random spot on the score, away from where I'm working. I made a video to show a buddy, apologies for the desperate sounding dialogue, lol. Anyone know what might be causing this?

Using Sibelius 2020.12, Mac OS Mojave. I will say I'm using a bluetooth keyboard and mouse, but this happens even when I'm just using my laptop keyboard/trackpad. Youtube link here:

Maybe this is your issue?

Double checked that - mine were exactly the same as yours except for the re-zoom when playing. I unchecked that, same issue.

Created a new file, and copy/pasted my staves into it... BAM. Problem solved.

Not sure if it was just a corrupt file or if there's a setting somewhere I'm missing.. this has definitely happened to me before, so maybe I need to go see if there's a trend I'm not seeing.

So I just opened up my 'fixed' file after a week and... it's happening again! I didn't change any settings from when it was working. Literally just opened file, added a video, and BAM. Any keystroke makes it go haywire.

Any thoughts?

UPDATE: It *ONLY* Happens when the video tab is open (it seems). I am using dual monitors with the video tab opened on one monitor and the score on the other...

Maybe you should report this on the officual Sibelius forum or on the FB pages? There are no Avid staffers on here any more. I don't compose to video so have no knowledge of its workings.

Had the same issue! Annoying...
Solved unchecking "Center Selection" in the "score position" preference menu

Make sure you are viewing horizontal spreads not vertical. This is a long-standing issue that was resolved temporarily but then crept back into the crypt!
