hey everyone,

I have three movements for an orchestral piece that I want to append. There's slight differences in the instrumentation for each movement and time signature changes etc. I've already done the layout( divisi /hiding staves etc) for each one. Is there an easy way to append them or will I have to add all instruments from the three movements and re-hide re-format the whole thing?

thanks ,

There's no real way around this. Sibelius will be very unhappy trying to append scores with different numbers of instruments or even differently names instruments or instruments out of position from one score to another.

You need to make sure that all scores have the same number of instruments with the same names and in the same order in each score before you append.

If you have previously formatted them, using hide empty staves should restore them to their former glory.

When you have appended athem all together, use the plugin Tidy Appended scores to take most of the drudgery out of sorting out the joins.
