Hi! Can Sibelius easily generate piano diagrams for scales/chords fingering? If not, do you know if there's a tool that can do that with some flexibility, like options for circles on top or other figures (square, diamonds, ...), with/without numbers, filled/empty circle? Something like this: https://i.pinimg.com/originals/db/aa/be ... 337ba1.jpg .It seems like an easy programming task and I'm not being able to find it anywhere. Apparently guitar diagrams get all the attention :) Thanks!

In a word, No.

This sort of thing is best done in a graphics editor.

Oh no, that's terrible news ;( I hope someone else knows some obscure tool that solves the problem. I can imagine myself learning TikZ for LaTex and making a huge script just for that, but I really want to avoid that.

I've had a thought. In the section of the File menu called Teaching, there are a number of worksheets. Two of these are images of keyboards. Might these be of any use?

That's interesting, but unfortunately it doesn't have the flexibility I have in mind. For example, the possibility to write numbers inside little circles like the image in the example is a must. Of course I could get the image and use a graphic software to superimpose other stuff later, I'll look into that option too. The point is that things would have to be automated at some degree, because I'll generate maybe hundreds of that. So, imagining myself positioning thousands of little circles over a keyboard makes me unhappy ;(

Well do remember that Sibelius is primarily a notation program. It was developed to notate on the staff. What it isn't is a graphics program.
