Adding a double barline in measure
One last question - everything else going perfectly. I am doing a hymn and each stanza in common time starts on beat 4. To delineate between stanzas, I want to add a double barline in between beat 3 and beat 4. I can do this easily but then beat 4 runs into the double barline and I can't seem to move the beat 4 note away from the barline. I know it can be done but perhaps I am going at it the wrong way? Many thanks.
You can select the note(s) after the double bar line and use the Inspector (Shift Ctrl I) to shift the X position away from the bar line. Something like X=2 looks ok in the little example I tried. There may of course be other (better) ways to do this however.

The solution you have found for yourself is the most stable one. It won't get its panties bunched up when you reset or alter the spacing and you can put a double bar or key change there without it causing havoc with your layout.

Thank you Mike. Appreciate it. In a few minutes, if I keep on having trouble I am going to ask a new question about Activation. I upgraded to yearly Ultimate and seem to be in an endless loop. (I want to add text to a hymn and 7.5 won't do it because I am on latest Apple OS). I will not blame Sibelius, promise.
