Is there anyone who can tell me how I can align the first stave with the rest of the staves (see picture)? Sibelius always places the first stave more to the left for some reason and I can't find out how to change that. I do know, that I can drag it, but I'm wondering if there is an easier way to make Sibelius quickly align them? I have a lot of sheets for a new sheet music book that I'll be releasing in a few months and I'd like to find the easiest way to fix this so I don't have to spend a lot of time dragging every single of the top staves in all of my arrangements :)

All the best,
Rune

Without seeing your document setup page and/or the Inspector for the first bar, we cannot tell what you have done to cause this. Sibelius does not indent like this by default.

Well, that eliminated the Gap Before Bar. Can you show me the Document setup dialog? (Layout-->Document Setup)

If this is a part, you can directly set the indent in Parts-->Multiple Part Appearance. Another thing you can do is turn on View-->Page Margins, whihc will give us a clue about what's going on here.

Hi Mike!
Thanks for your reply!
I’ve attached a picture of ”Layout-->Document” Setup as well as a picture of ”View-->Page Margins”. Does this help?

I’m not completely sure what you mean with parts. What I can tell you is that this book and arrangement is for solo free-bass accordion so the sheets are not part of a bigger orchestral arrangement, if that’s what you mean. Let me know if you meant something else.

Thanks a lot!

In Sibelius, there is quite a huge difference between the Score and it's constituent parts.

A score can contain parts for many instruments and has certain layout parameters pre-set to make the score look as good as possible. If you select a staff and press the letter w, you will open the part. It will say teh instrument name at the top left (in the score, this is hidden) and you may find the margins are OK.

Can I ask if you have dragged the beginning barline at all? Maybe accidentally?

Without seeing the actual sib file, I can really only guess what's going on. My email addy is in my signature, if you are ok sending me the file to examine. I have a suspicion there may be something wrong with your template from what you are saying above.
