uninstalling Noteperformer
How do I uninstall the trial version of Noteperformer? I tried it, but decided it wasn't that much of an improvement over the ones I'm currently using. Also, I read to go to the Library and drag it into the trash. I did, and emptied the trash, but it still shows up. Using Mac 11.4 and Sibelius Ultimate 2020.12

Do macs not have a proper uninstall process?
There's much more to NP than just the sound files. There are (in Windows) registry entries and dll/xml files to be removed from various locations - including the sibelius VST folder(s).

I don't know about a Mac uninstall process. I Googled "uninstall sounds configurations in Sibelius", and one page said just go to the Library, etc., and drag it to the trash. Ended with, "That's it!" I thought that sounded a bit too simple, but I did it, and it made no difference. I can't find a step-by-step guide, not even on the Noteperformer web page. https://www.noteperformer.com/?page=home --TnT

It's not a Noteperformer thing, it's a Mac O/S thing! That 'sound configuration' is just a group of settings in Sibelius that set it up to work with Noteperformer in your case. Trashing that would presumably just stop Sibelius from working with Noteperformer.
There must be, somewhere in the operating system, a control panel that will let you add or remove apps correctly. You'll have to find it. I can't help you as I would never touch a Mac. Mike also uses Windows, and we seem to be the only ones answering questions here!
Try asking on the official Sibelius chat pages - https://www.sibelius.com/cgi-bin/helpce ... ?groupid=3

Andy has just reminded me. You will have a configuration on the Play tab of the ribbon called NotePerformer. You will need to remove this as well - just delete it. and there are a number of piugins that NP installs to make certain things easier in the workflow.. A proper uninstall process would have sorted this for you without interverntion from you.
Then do a search for files containing NotePerformer with xml and dll extensions in your file system.Sib 6.2, 7.5 and 2023.6, Windows 11, 32GB RAM, 16TB 7200RPM Storage, 2TB SSD, Note Performer 3.3.2, EWQLSO, EWQLSC, Harmony Assistant and some others. mike@mike-lyons.co.uk
Thanks....ok...I go to the Play tab and don't know how to get to Playback Devices from there. Here's what mine looks like. What do I click next? --TnT

It's the little button in the right hand corner next to setup.
