I have a score with horns, background vocals, E Git, bass, etc.

As I print parts, I would like to be able to hand the guitar player something that has two staves, one for notation and one for TAB. Of note, often there will be long stretches of just chord slashes where the TAB staff can remain hidden, and then short melodic stretches (the bridge, in this example) where I would like the TAB to appear underneath the notation.

Still, the real issue is that I can't seem to get the 'Extract Parts' dialogue to create a file that contains both the notation and TAB on the same page.

Any hints are much appreciated!!

Sincerely, Dave

Use the parts option to create a new part with both a tab and a notation staff then hide tge tab staff where you don't want it.

Mike,

Thank you! "New Part" was the info I needed. I was trying to use Extract parts.

Best, Dave
