I am having a bowed crotale part, and when I input the notes, the sound is correct. However, when I play it back (Using NotePerformer), It makes a mallet crotale sound. Why does this is and how fixes I it?

EDIT: lmao I just had the change instrument command set just after the whole note, all good :D

This extract (image) from the NP manual should get you started.

I don't think the mixer method will work for this. You need to define an instrument.

I got it figured out, I had created a new instrument on the edit instruments page for the bowed crotale sound, but I had put the actual command slightly after the whole note started, so it changed in the middle of the note, but I got it fixed.
