Google Drive saved my files as a .vf HOW DO I ACCESS THESE NOW
Hello All...I recently backed up my computer to Google Drive and I have an old file that I would like to access. However, for whatever reason it isn't a .sib file it is a .vf file. I have tried to access the file by using "open with" and selecting Sibelius as the program, but it still doesn't recognize the file type. Any recommendations???
Have you tried renaming the file with a .sib extension? .vf is Vegas movie studio project file - according to google. did the file have included video?

If it actually says corrupt file then I'm afraid, you've lost it.

I back up to a second hard drive and then to an external hard drive that isn't normally connected. That can be kept off site if that's required. And on the home intranet is a RAID server that I can always use, and there's a large capacity USB stick plugged into the Hub.
Many quick and easy ways ways to back up, then, and I'll use two of them for security. But, never, never, never will I be persuaded to back up to a 'cloud'.
Very sorry to hear of your loss of files, one good reason why I tell my students to back up locally.
