In his Water Music Suite, G F Handel included notation for a Horn in F to play A5. In Sibelius Ultimate (V 2021.12), I have amended the instrument ranges to show A5 for both 'Comfortable' and 'Professional', and have set the 'Note Colours' to 'None'. However, I cannot get the note to sound out. Am I missing something? What else do I need to do to get this instrument to sound out A5?
Are you looking at/editing a transposing score/part or a concert pitch score/part?

Hi Mike.
I'm using a non-transposing score, with the F Horn written & sounding A5, copied from an 1886 version of the Handel score (downloaded from https://www.free-scores.com/download-sh ... ?pdf=42693). The section where the problem occurs is on page 66, bar 17 onwards. In the transposing score, this shows as E6. I've been in touch with the Sibelius Support staff, who have asked for a copy of my score, and they are now 'testing' it!
The score was playing back successfully under Sibelius Ultimate V 2021.9.0.3598 (Windows 10/Sibelius 7 Sounds). I upgraded to Sibelius Ultimate V 2021.12.0.580 (again Windows 10/Sibelius 7 Sounds) and the score would not play back properly (no changes to score whatsoever). Following advice from the Sibelius Support team, I've now uninstalled V 2021.12.0.580 and re-installed my previous version. The score now plays back correctly, so it must be an 'undocumented feature' in the new version, which they will presumably fix in due course.

I'm sorry, but I'm being very thick! "Horn in F written and sounding A5" is not making sense to me. If it's a horn in F part, then it's transposed for F horn? Looking at the parts supplied with that score, they are definitely transposed parts. The parts in the score are also transposed.
Then, I saw the change to horns in C (From No.11). These parts need to be transposed DOWN by a perfect 5th for it to be playable on an F horn.
FYI, This affects Nos 11,12,13,14,15 in both horns 1 and 2.
