Hi guys. I am trying to do something a little advanced and I don't know if it's possible. I want to use Kontakt VST on an instrument and then have sound fed into another VST. (An Amplifier VST)

In Ableton (DAW), I achieve this by dragging the VST next to the Kontakt instance so it's processed as an audio effect in a chain sequence.

Can someone please let me know if there's some way I can achieve something similar in Sibelius? It would be very helpful on instruments such as guitars.

Thanks! Tom P

In a word, no. Sibelius does not have any of the capabilities of a DAW, beyond the most absolutely basic ones.

Thank you for letting me know. I guess the only other way to do it is to put the instruments that I need audio effects on inside Ableton then rewire them to play the same time

Yes, I think ReWire is the way to go. Couldn't you just export the midi tracks or audio tracks as stems and import those into your DAW?

Hi Mike. I exported the whole score to MIDI and then imported it into the DAW. I've been looking for a way to only export a particular instrument of the score to MIDI but can't figure out how to. I assume you need to copy the single instrument then paste it into a new score, then export it?

No, there are plugins to do this. "Export Each Instrument as MIDI" and "Export each Staff as Audio". Depending on your version of Sib, these should be available through File-->Plug-ins-->Install plugin or through the plugin website here: https://www.sibelius.com/download/plugins/index.html
