I want to write some rhythms and have them print on a blank piece of paper, not on a staff. I know there are images for
quarter, half and eighth notes etc. but I need to write music that uses beams, not just a quarter note or eighth note.
Is there some way to hide the staff and keep the notes that you worte on the staff?

You can 'hide' the staff lines by selecting your whole instrument staff (double/triple click the staff), then going to:

Home > Press the 'Edit Instruments' arrow next to Instruments > Make sure the correct instrument is highlighted in the Instruments box > Edit Instrument > Edit Staff Type... > Change Number of Staff lines to 0 > Ok > Ok > Close

I suggest a better way might be to change the instrument to "no instrument (hidden)" by choosing change instrument and clicking to the left of the start of the first bar.
