I have been using Sib 8.5.1 for several years and so not have to pay any further fees for it to run. I changed my computer and my Mac OS is now Ventura 13.6.3. For various reasons I have not composed for some while - and not since the computer change.
I can still create a score (the notes) but cannot add any form of text on the new score. The new score can be saved, accessed again and played.
I can access any score written before the computer change and modify, for example, existing lyrics but not add any form of new text.
I would appreciate any help, thank you.

Your version of Sibelius is not compatible with your Mac O/S. There is no work around.
3 Options:
1) Upgrade Sibelius to the very latest version
2) Downgrade your Mac O/S to one that allows Sibelius to work - if that's possible
3) Buy a Windows PC/laptop and dedicate it solely to Sibelius. Your old version will work perfectly.
