I've been running Sib 6 on an old Windows 7 PC which seems to have finally given up the ghost. I've bought a new laptop with Windows 11 on it. Looking at the Avid web site I can get a "Sibelius Ultimate Upgrade inc. 1 year of upgrades" for £123.

My questions are:
Does Sib 6 need to be installed on the laptop in order to be able to upgrade it or would I just need to provide the serial number?

Is the price for the upgrade a one-off or something I'd have to pay for every year?
