MacBook Pro 2023 Apple M2 Max OS15.2 Sibelius 2024.10 build 5593.
On launching Sibelius I often do not get passed Initialising Playback System. I have followed all suggested ways of launching Sibelius (removing all Components/Audio Units and adding them back in) including a detailed online help from a Sibelius technician to no avail. I report that this seems to be an occasional fault and repeated attempts will finally boot the program. I have also noticed that by disconnecting my controller keyboard from the computer the program will launch. It is quite bizarre. Is Avid Link the problem? I use a desktop computer in my studio and swapping licenses to that device and visa versa definitely causes problems launching Sibelius. In any case, it is has nothing to do with third party plugins affecting Sibelius because the program may or may not boot up. The root of the problem must be a bug in the software. Either Sibelius itself or Avid Link. Any other users finding this very frustrating and wish Avid would just sort it out?
