How do i make a cadenza? (free rhythm)

This will affect playback, but not notation. It seems to work for cadenza beginning at the start of a measure...I'm not certain about beginning a cadenza during a G.P. within.
To enter a crap-load of notes into a single measure, change the time signature to 31/1. To prevent people from freaking at the time signature and trying to play it, hide the time signature and the return to time signature. [edit>hide>etc.]
Then there are other decisions, such as labeling and entering the notes a cue-sized.
This seems to work for me, I hope it fits your needs too.
