2023.8 has not addressed bugs
The 2023.8 update (Ultimate) still has the same bugs as the last couple of updates, the most annoying of which is that the volume setting of the metronome in the mixer is forgotten when the file is closed, and reset to the default 95 when the file is re-opened.
This is the complaint of every sibelius user. We ask, nay beg, for the correction of bugs that have been there since the original sib 1 or 2 ( and a large number of newer bugs) but, despite some bugs being corrected each release, some of the oldest and most annoying bugs seem to be ineradicable.

Thanks Mike, I thought that things appeared different, and just figured that they'd changed the look, not realizing that I wasn't in the normal "official" Avid site.
I too have had Sibelius forever, since 1.4 – this metronome bug is relatively new. Lately, it feels like even waiting for them to work the bugs out of the new versions is useless, and I'm hesitant to install any more updates 'cuz things that worked before aren't working now, and we're just going backwards.

I hear what you're saying. That's why I'm investigating Dorico and musescore.
If they (Avid) don't shape up, I'll just jump ship eventually.
