I perform a one-man musical play about the hymn writer, Charles Wesley. It is really taking off. I use full orchestra, pipe organ, and lots of other instruments to make it as glorious as possible. I don't know much about instruments other than the default ones that come with Sibelius, but I want a richer sound, more like a real orchestra. I would spend some money to get it. Any suggestions? --Tom in Texas

In short, yes.
You could do worse than NotePerformer. It has its own soundset and integrates into sibelius easily. And it's cheap.

If money is no object, you could use an expensive 3rd party library that will give you Hollywood quality sounds, but that will need a lot of work to get it to play nicely with sibelius.

Those are your choices.

The Hollywood quality sounds are what I am seeking, but I don't know how to accomplish that. A couple of years ago I tried Noteperformer, but was not impressed...can't remember...maybe by the strings. Anyhow, I need more, and would pay for more.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I'm fantasizing about. I need mainly lush strings, realistic brass, a glorious pipe organ, harpsichord, concert grand piano...and bells, gongs and chimes. Oh, my. Have no idea which of these would be best.
