I have a Tascam 2488 Digital recorder and want to start play back on sibelius 3 when play and recorder are press on recorder. Can get Record Producer Deluxe to do it, A $40 program. Is there something I need to setup.

Sibelius will not start playback,external midi start command
As far as I know, there is no way to start Sibelius with an external Midi Command.
This issue has been raised lots of times at the Sibelius Chat Page by people like me who write music for movies. No way to start, stop or sync Sibelius through Midi.
The only workaround I use is creating a Midifile from a Sibelius score and then play it in a seq program (Like Logic ...).
Maybe somewhere in the future this feature will be added.
