So I wrote a piece some years ago and lost the Sibelius file (never printed a score), yet I still have a MIDI export from it. In the process of reconstructing the score I've imported the MIDI into one Sibelius file and started a new one where I'm cleaning it up (copy & paste from the import into the new file and clean up goofy voice-leading, etc.). I have the program set to view hidden objects and I delete any MIDI messages that appear when I copy the MIDI import, but regardless there are parts of the piece that stubbornly refuse to do what they're told. For instance, in the original MIDI there is one instrument that plays back ff which I believe now should be quieter, yet even in the 'cleaned' up version with no visible MIDI commands it absolutely will not respond to any dynamic indications. Is there any way to select an entire score and just clear it of any hidden formatting, similar to how text in a word processor can be cleared of formatting? Thank you.
