Hi,

Does anyone Knows exactly the order (explicit process) in which the scores playback through Sibelius (built-in) Player? I have some vagues ideas about this process; this is my guess:
1) Sibelius creates and sends MIDI messages depending on the notes, tempo, key, time, etc. and notations using the Playback Dictionary and the Inspector's playback options (that creates and assigns MiDI messages to the score depending on what stave texts, system texts, lines, articulations and symbols are set to play back).
2) The Sibelius Player Engine understands the incoming MIDI messages (from the score) with the help of a internal sound set corresponding to a Sibelius Sound Library (like Sibelius 7 Sounds or Sibelius Sound Essentials). In this way the Sibelius Player Engine knows exactly what sounds (patches) parameters to change in response to the specific MIDI messages been sent (including those corresponding to the Playback Dictionary effects and music notation).
3) The Sibelius built-in Player (not the same as the Sibelius Player Engine) reproduces the sounds (patches) with the defined effects that the Sibelius Palyer Engine interprets (understands) accordingly to the sound set. The Sounds that are played correspond to a sibelius Sound Library (like Sibelius 7 Sounds or Sibelius Sound Essentials). In this fashion one can actually hear his or her scored been played considering complex music notation.

Is this correct? How does this process work using a VST instrument or effect?

Thanks in advance
