I recently switched to a Steinberg Midex interface because it works better with Cubase. I have a Yamaha keyboard (controller only). Now I can't get any midi input on the keyboard to work. Is there a setting in Sibelius (version 6)? I believe I only see "playback devices". Anybody have an idea?

Preferences>Input Devices
Does Sibelius 'see' the Midex? It should if you've installed the drivers correctly, but may need a 'push'!

Sibelius sees the Midex as an "available device" but this does not mean that it's recognizing midi input. Andy, what do you mean by a "push"? Is there a folder in Sibeilus that should contain the midex 8? Thanks for your help.

Just got it to work. I pressed the panic button on the Midex and it worked!

That kind of 'push'. ie reset or retart the interface or get Sibelius to manually resacn for connected devices!
