Hello,
i created a score with a drum part.
First I use a Timpani then I switch to triangle an later on to snare drum.
If I play the piece I can hear all instruments. ( the timpani too)
After the change to triangle i couldn't hear a sound from it also no sound later from the snare drum.
If I klick on the drum line and enter a note with B than I can hear the sound. Only during playback it disappears after the timpani part.
Anynone out there who knows why?
Regards Robert
Percussion Sound Problem
OK. FWIW, it is NEVER a great idea to use a 5-line and a 1 line staff like this for percussion. Percussion in Sibeliius is a law unto itself.
If you carefully arrange to have instrument changes at the end of systems. you can use hide empty staves to avoid this issue. You just need a separate 1-line staff and a separate 5-line staff.

Remember, Sibelius is for producing a score for real players. Your drum part reflects this well.
For playback things can be different.
Often I will put each percussion instrument on it's own line so that I can control it better.
