trumpet mute techniques playback

Postby gonebon » Mon Jan 21, 2019 4:08 pm

what are the playback possibilites on brass mutes?
I was looking particularly for a harmon w/stem wah type of sound. I found sibelius plays an auto-wah on "plunger mute" when is set to Sibelius 7 Sounds (Jazz), but for what I'm writing regular Sibelius 7 Sounds suit better, so I was wondering if there are more possibilites here than normal "mute" sound.
Thank you!

From the ribbon, look in the Playback Dictionary under Staff Text. There are several mutes listed there. But there may well not be sounds for them. To test it, write a trumpet line and every few measures write in staff text, the mutes, just as they appear in the list.
