Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth is missing

Hi guys!

I use only the very basic sounds in Sibelius since I don't need much more (arranging for acappella, always using Voice Oohs).
And I'm really lost.
A couple of days ago I had to uninstall and reinstall my audio interface driver (Focusrite 2i2) and ever since - my Sibelius has no playback devices, not even Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth.

I'm attaching the screenshot of the audio configuration.

I already tried:
1. Repairing Sibelius installation
2. Uninstalling and reinstalling my audio interface again
3. banging my head against the keyboard

Nothing helps!
Please show me the light!

Your frustrated friend,
Yarden

1. Did you select the ASIO Setup button and reconfigure the driver for Sibelius.

2. Do you really need ASIO to run GM? Unless you are using a keyboard through the Focusrite?

Have you had any error messages like MMSYSTEM error?

You cannot use ASIO with GM Basic. Choose another driver for the card - MME or DS.

Hi guys!

Thanks for your help!
Eventually I ran out of patience and had my system restored and that fixed it.
Before I did that I *did* try to change the interface to all other options and it didn't bring my GM back. I did not get any error messages.
Right now the interface is set to "Primary Sound Driver"... I can't remember if it's the one that I tried before, but oh well :)

Thanks again!

Thanks for posting what worked for you. It occurs to me that I should have asked you why you had to uninstall the driver to begin with.
Glad things are working.

?? I replied to this one not long after it was posted! Said the same thing - ASIO driver and GM wavetable don't work together. Same solution - change driver. That should have worked.

No idea where the post went, as there's no mods or admin to remove it.

Anyway, glad to hear it's all sorted, even if I wasn't able to help! :)
