Suddenly, Sibelius is exporting .wav or .mp3 files as TextEdit documents rather than the selected file types. I have never seen this before in around 1,000,000 exports. Anyone seen this before?
In windows this is often a symptom of program associations going wrong. If youa re on windows, make sure that .sib files are associated with the sibelius program. You might be able to do this through Sibelius Preferences-->Files

Thanks for the reply.
I figured it out. In the export dialog, you can select the audio file type (wav, mp3, aiff) which i assumed automatically assigned that extension to the file name.
I was renaming the files in the "File Name" box WITHOUT typing the .wav extension.
"AudioExportFile" instead of "AudioExportFile.wav"
After manually entering ".wav" at the end of the file name, things returned to normal.
