I have some persistent problems with files that have been translated from Score through XML to Sibelius.
First: one line of say a harp part plays fine, so does the other line. But playing them together makes all sorts of overaccented notes in the top line, producing a part on playback that doesn't actually exist.
Second: there sometimes occur random program changes which will make, say, a piano part suddenly switch to a brass sound and flip back again a few bars later. Inserting ~p1 commands at these points makes no difference.
I can only imagine something is embedded in the XML file which caused this, but don't know a lot about XML.
I tried to attach a demo .sib file but get an "invalid file extension" message. Anyone know what's happening here?
Would appreciate any wisdom from anyone who has experiences with translated files.

You can email me the file to have a look at, if you wish. The caveat is always that musicxml is still not a perfect medium.

Hi Paul,
The sib file is telling me nothing. All the damage has already been done, as it were.
Could you send me the xml?
