playback of imported video file

Hi. Using Sib Ultimate on MacBook Pro with Big Sur 11.4
I need to import a wav. file to playback in sync with Sib track. I can import it, and I understand the timecode parameters, but when I play back the imported file is not syncable. It will play but in weird places in the file. It does not seem to respond to the timecode parameters. Funny thing is that with Sibelius 7 it worked ok. Now it does not. Any help here?
