Greetings,

Despite my marking the tempo at the start of a piece and manually setting the tempo slider on the transport, my tempos will not save or load. The marking in the score remains (i.e. 138bpm) but playback always defaults to 100bpm. I've been through the documentation and can't fix the issue.

Anyone else run into this? If so were you able to fix it and how.

Thanks,

Mark

1. Turn off live playback.
2. Make sure you use Tempo text style ([ctrl][alt]t - on windows)
3. Leave the slider alone. It is only for "quick and dirty" checks and it is not retained between sessions.

Tried all of your suggestions, revisited the manual, I still can't get the score to play the marked tempo.

Grrrrrrr........

Other suggestions anyone?

Thanks
Mark

You should check to see if your older version of Sibelius is fully compatible with your Mac O/S. A version from 2020 might not work properly. If so, you'll have to update to the latest version of Sibelius and then blame Apple for causing the issue!

And if you are fully up to date and compatible, please double check that you are entering the tempo correctly with the correct type of text. Use the Mac equivalent of Ctrl-Alt-T on Windows.

If it's still proving intractable, please put it into a zip file and attach here or email it to the address in my signature and I'll have a look.

You don't say which version of the MacOS you are using. As Andy says, it might not be compatible with 2020.3.
