Noteperformer 1.5 not working on Sibelius

I'm running the current version of sibelius, but I'm one of those people that like the sound of the old saxophones from noteperformer 1.5 (current is 4.4). For some reason when I install the old version, it doesn't show up in available devices. I've looked at the user guide for noteperformer 1.5, but it doesn't give me answers. I've tried wallander support, but they just tell me to upgrade. The files are in the right places, it's just not picking it up.

2018.7 is not the current version of Sibelius, if you're on a 2023 version you might want to amend your profile!

If they've told you to upgrade, it's probably because 1.5 won't work with later versions of Sibelius - it's 3 generations old.

If there's a workaround, one of the other two responders on this old, rather dead site may be able to help. If not, you could always ask on the official Sibelius chat page.

NotePerformer has been re-designed twice since your version and I am fairly sure you can't make it work with later versions if sibelius, which has also undergone a number if structural changes - one of which IIRC has to do with locations of vst files and folders. I'm afraid your only choice is to upgrade. It is free.
