I composed a piece for two pianos, woodblocks and snare drum today, and when I exported it as a midi file the piano sounds were completely screwed up.
What do I have to do for the MIDI file to replicate the sound I get when I replay the piece in Sibelius?
Thanks,
King.
Exporting Midi Files
Normally, an exported Midi File from Sibelius should automatically play back using the same sounds as the Sibelius File. The first thing that comes to mind is this:
- Check if the playback software (Mediaplayer, Sequence Programme, ...) has the same Midi Sound Setup as the one you use in Sibelius.
The safest way to go is to use the General Midi Setup in Sibelius. But then you're not able to use other devices like other soundcards and modules.
