I have a tune in E major. I am preparing a part for a baritone saxophone. When I use the transposing score button to transpose to the Eb horn key, Sibelius chooses Db rather than C#. My bari player would prefer to read the tune in C#. Numerous attempts to respell flats as sharps are not producing the results I want.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

IIRC, the trick is to create a new instrument, bari sax in D#.

The question's been asked dozens of times here and on the official Sibelius forum, so a search will soon find details.

There is a simpler way of doing this in your existing project with the Baritone Sax created as standard.
Go to: Appearance, Engraving rules, Clefs and Key Signatures.
You then untick the box 'Respell remote key signatures in transposing scores'. This will then put your Baritone Sax part into C# rather than Db.
Hope this helps.
