ASIO driver option greyed out
Hi all,
I'm experiencing some bad MIDI latency with Sibelius Ultimate and can't seem to select an ASIO driver for use with the software. I don't get an ASIO driver option in the dropdown list and the ASIO Options box is greyed out. Any thoughts?
I'm using a Roland Quad Capture with Windows 10.

Have you installed an ASIO driver for that?
Roland Support has drivers for your card here https://www.roland.com/us/support/by_pr ... s_drivers/
There may be a WASAPI driver available in the list. However we don't currently know if you are on PC or MAC.
Failing all else, you could do worse than install ASIO4ALL.

Couple of things...
Are you on a mac?
Have you allowed your machine to go to sleep/hibernate with or without sib open?
Your soundcard, being an external device will not cope well with this treatment. Sibelius needs to have your sound devices fully awake and connected before it is or it won't find them.
Mac users are particularly prone to this (I hesitate to say that they are too idle to shut their machines down properly... ) becausre they just shut the lid and think everything is ok.
That's not how this works.

Sometimes, I find that USB devices can be slow to connect on startup. Also, check that Windows is set to NOT put your USB devices to sleep. Set any power management options in device properties not to allow windows to turn them off.
You can get to these options through windows device manager.
